Peninsular Farms, along the scenic Sandusky River, was home in the 1930s to Standardbred horses, raised by John J. Mooney for harness racing. Sandusky County residents may recall seeing the horses in their beautiful fenced paddocks, as well as on the racetrack at the county fair.
